HPI’s National Mileage Register NMR Growing Rapidly
Vehicle history checking company HPI, now holds in excess of 125 million vehicles on its National Mileage Register NMR, here in the UK.
When vehicles are serviced or sold on, HPI log the mileage in their NMR database which is added to the information issued to customers, who query the HPI checking service for a particular vehicle. If a vehicle has had its odometer clocked, HPI will alert the owner and/or potential buyer and make a entry in the vehicle’s history for all to see.
Each HPI history check costs around £20 regardless of vehicle. Given the high prices of some of today’s luxury cars, that seems a very worthwhile investment towards a new purchase.
Monitoring vehicle mileage is just another step HPI have taken to help reduce fraudulent sales, which will no doubt be welcomed by many used car traders.
