Diesel Pumps Needed On Fuel Forecourts

Written on April 1, 2008 – 8:17 pm | by admin |

Until recently, Petrol has long dominated fuel service station forecourts over diesel. Now with the increased interest in diesel motors, service station owners are forced to meet demand with more pumps.

Although diesel costs slightly more per litre at the pump, annual running costs are still cheaper than petrol. The SMMT - Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has stated that 25.5 billion litres of diesel was purchased from service stations throughout the UK last year and only 24 billion litres of petrol.

It has been predicted by many leading industry guru’s that by 2011, diesel car sales will have exceeded petrol.
